If you are interested in a career in the field of visual communications we have a degree program for you. Designers are visual communicators—organizing words and images in new and creative ways to convey messages in a variety of contexts, from printed materials to electronic media. Rapid changes in technology are providing new tools and creating exciting new opportunities for designers. If you're interested in developing your creative potential to pursue a career as a designer, then you need to get the best education you can find, and the Art and Computer Design program within the Arts and Imaging Studies department at NTID/RIT is the place for you. * Digital Imaging & Publishing Technology People who work in digital imaging and publishing careers produce the millions of photographic, print and digital media products used every day by individuals and businesses. Digital technology enables data, text and graphics to meet the demand for publishing through a wide variety of information dissemination and communication strategies, including printed pages, Web pages and CD-ROMs. This program can get you ready for an exciting and challenging career in the nation's second largest and fastest growing manufacturing industry. * CIAS Support (Baccalaureate Studies coordinated by the CIAS Support Team) For students interested in a 4-year degree, approximately 20 baccalaureate programs are offered by RIT’s College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CIAS). CIAS includes the School of Art, the School of Design, the School for American Crafts, the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences, the School of Film and Animation and the School of Print Media. The classes are mainstreamed to include both hearing and deaf students, and have a notetaker and an interpreter (or alternate access service). These services, including personalized tutoring and advising, are provided and/or coordinated by the NTID CIAS Support Team. |
